In an effort to improve the travel experience of Interrail Passholders, we recently launched a new pilot with increased Outbound/Inbound allowances.
Any additional journeys will be visible on the Rail Planner app on the Pass Details screen (by clicking on a specific Pass on the My Pass screen).
We are conducting this pilot as a test solution to some commonly experienced travel issues with night trains or when customers live too far from their country's border to make it across within one travel day.
Passengers who live in one of the participating countries are automatically enrolled in this pilot. You can check your Outbound/Inbound allowance in the My Pass section of the Rail Planner app. We hope this will enhance your travel experience, and we wish you a great trip with your Interrail Pass!
Please note: the Interrail Pass allows for international travel only, aside from the journeys to and from your home. Pass holders can only travel on their domestic network with an Interrail Pass if they are departing or returning to their country of residence. Misusing the extra Outbound/Inbound journeys available through this pilot may result in a ticket controller request for the Pass holder to pay the full fare for the journey or be booted off the train.
